Port Charlotte is a larger medium-sized coastal town (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the state of Florida. With a population of 60,625 people and 19 associated neighborhoods, Port Charlotte is the 55th largest community in Florida.Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Port Charlotte is neither predominantly one nor the other.
